So i bought 2 free trials from these guy thinking i was going to try their products for free and potentially buy it if i liked it. Turns out i dont like the supplement at all, 18 days later I get charged

$140 for two 30 day suppies because i didnt cancel my membership with them, I didnt even know I had such thing as a membership with them but apparently they fit that in the tiny writing somewhere.

So even though i didnt like the products I'm forced to pay a completely ridiculous amount for even more of these *** supplements because i didnt read the tiny writing.

So in my opinion this whole company that id been reffering all my clients too just turned into a big scam. Complete loss of respect for Force Factor and their workout products I hope they go out of business we dont need companys like them in the fitness industry.

Monetary Loss: $140.

I'm in Australia and had the same issue with the free trial offer. Yes, when I accepted the free trial I did not see the terms and conditions and as an experienced business manage I felt ***.

Thing is, in my understanding an ongoing direct payment agreement needs to be a lot more clear than this and as the legal counsel for the company I work for agrees, one could argue the terms are deliberately small, misleading and unclear.

When I called my credit card issuer I was told this type of thing with supplements/vitamins is common and many customers have called wit similar problems. I have written to the ACCC on their complaints page in an effort to have someone look into this. If anyone else sees this post in Australia and wishes to jump on board with a complaint to the ACCC then please do so. Enough complaints from consumers will often lead to action or change.

The cancellation process itself is a nightmare.

Rude people on the Force Factor phones, mclearly trained to handle extensive objections and put the onus back on the customer. It is not a customer focused company, it is one which only makes money from being dishonest and misleading, rather than being clear, open and developing a reliable customer base from product performance and excellence in service.

Regardless of whether the products work or do not I will not do business with an organisation who manipulates free trial offers to clients in this way.

They offered a free trial and then billed you after 30 days when you didn't cancel... Wow - I'm shocked..

Not shocked that they did that - I'm shocked that you can actually say you were unaware that would happen.. You know how many companies offer a free trial period before they charge you? and yes, most of their money is probably made in the month or 2 that lazy jerks don't feel like making the one phone call to cancel.

I don't think they slipped it into the fine print or anything - I recall the process of inquiring about cancellation/changing my order being very simple - AND I knew what was happening because they were very up front about the trial period.. For future reference if you ever want to be SURE they won't bill you for something that's "free" with no "strings attached" - don't give them your credit card number, ***.

If your product is so fantastic, why do you have to trick people and steal their money ?Ed

DO NOT ORDER THE TRIAL. They pull you in with the trial - getting your card info for the shipping.

Once you agree to get the trial - you are ALSO agreeing to a monthly order of the product at $75/month. When I realized this - I immediately returned the unopened product - just to find out that the refund will take 3-5 WEEKS! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? This is a scam to either get your money for the product or to use it interest free for 5 weeks.

AVOID. If you want some - get it at GNC and pay cash.

I would just like to add to what appears to be an endless list of complaints regarding what I believe to be the totally unethical business behaviour of these rip-off merchants. I live in Australia and like everyone else decided to try the test product.

With the delay in getting to me due to postal times, I noticed they had already taken money from my credit Card without my permission for a full supply.

They "accidentally" responded to one email I sent to sales@***.com but since that time they wont communicate & their phone number is always a recorded message.

How do these bastards stay in business?

Isn't there some authority in the U.S. that can deal with deceptive companies such as this?

By the way, I recommend you change your credit card number ASAP if they are still sucking your money away from you without your permission.

After buying a free sample (paid for shipping) I just a box in the mail and A 85 dollar charge,I sent it back, cacelled my card and will call the company, the company closed for Holidays. Buyer Beware

I got scammed! Wanted to try the product and paid 4.99 for a free sample....little did I know....somewhere hidden on the website is an acknowledgement to continue to purchase this *** product every month.

Sooooo my credit card was billed $74.

What's funny is I didn't even try the free trial after they tried to scam me. I returned product.....still waiting for a refund....advice is to refuse anything they send to you.....do not open package.....refuse and send back!

Got the surprise second box. :? When ordering, if you don't catch the fineprint tucked away on another page behind a small inconspicuous button labeled "Terms", there's no way to avoid this. The next communication you will receive is an email confirming the next box has already shipped. In my case, it went to a spam folder because this was the first email from them. Perhaps they are careful not to email a confirmation regarding the trial shipment so that this has a better chance of happening. :x

In my opinion, any company that almost secretly auto-subscribes (when money is involved) isn't even worth talking to let alone doing business with, but I decided to phone them as a courtesy. (I was just going to dispute the charge with the credit card company but that would be a time-consuming process.)

They are set up to process cancellations and refunds instantly because, well, I guess they do a lot of them. :roll The CSR promptly cancelled the subscription, issued an RMA number and sent a return shipping label via email, but she had no authority to refund shipping costs, so I ask to be escalated to a supervisor. I reiterating my irritation and objection to the unscrupilous web order page layout - obviously designed to intentionally make the extremely relavant auto-subscription cancelation period policy as inconspicuous as possible. He reluctantly authorized a full refund, including shipping, but would not pay for return shipping. (If you don't open the package, just write the RMA number on the package and RTS.)

So as a consequence for general inconvenience as well as being on the hook for return postage, Force Factor gets yet another negative review on the internet. Unfortunately, what they are doing is not illegal, just ethically questionable. The concealed terms must be financially beneficial for them, so as long as the bad internet reviews are tolerable, they’ll keep selling this way.

I'm reading the ad now and it clearly states you have 18 days to call and cancel or you will be enrolled in the auto ship program.

I had same experience with this company.

I had 34 days to cancel my unwanted "membership". I saved the screen before sending the online free of charge trial order.

After 18 days they shipped a fully charged order using my card information I have given to pay for shipping the "free" trial.

I contact them and complained about their business practices. Mr. K of customer service explained to me they have duplicate landing pages and they decided to downgrade my "membership" cancellation to 18 days. My claim that I have a copy of the screen saying I have 34 days was dismissed obnoxiously.

They did not alert me of the changed nor did they asked my approval to that.

They do not send any order confirmation hoping you will forget about their "conditions" and they charge you automatically.

Beware of this business practice. Do not do business with them.
